iServer is a powerful product that allows communication
proxies to be quickly defined for legacy host data access.iServer
can work with practically any communication protocol or data access
method to transform target data into a standard IIOP Corba standard
that can be used in a client / server environment.The iServer
links all target data together on the iBus as an open Application
Program Interface – API.
The flexibility of iServer allows new Communication Proxies for
systems and data access to be quickly defined and activated. iServer
can be easily adapted to changing or transitioning environments
and in fact can facilitate an easier transition to new technology.
To achieve a seamless data access and integration, target data
is delivered in a CORBA IIOP standard over the CyberObject iBus
or the standard corporate network. iBus allows for connectivity
and the delivery of iServer data to the Intranet, Internet and Extranet.
Clients connected to the corporate network will receive delivery
of target data for use in client applications or as Application
Program Interfaces – APIs.
The iServer architecture by design is highly reliable and can be
implemented in environments where scalability, high availability
and load balancing are absolutely required. iServer can be implemented
with multiple instances on a single server or can be implemented
on several servers across an enterprise. To assure a high level
of security, iServer enables a completely secure access method to
legacy data through Secure Socket Layer – SSL technology.
A Client Routing Module in the iServer provides effective routing
of target data to a large number of clients. This routing / concentrating
functionality for Intranet users is similar to the iGate product
that supports external Internet and Extranet users.
iEngine is the intelligence of the CyberObject iSuite product
set. This plug-in application is the intelligent mechanism for capturing
and formatting an organization’s “Institutional Knowledge”. The
iEngine applies the intellectual data to a consistent framework
and drives correct decision making across the entire company.
